I don't think Teck will be too cash strapped if they wanted to persue both projects. They have a partner, CIC, with very deep pockets willing to get rid of their US cash for solid projects. They could also find willing partners to help them if needed and there are certainly many Majors out there with bloated cash balance sheets.
