When CUU & Teck get together and finalize what they are going to do, It will mean a dividend pay out, share exchange or whatever. Of course they will mention that it will pertain to shareholders"Of Record" from a particular date. How is that date determined? Is it always the date of the announcement / PR about the buy-out or back-in decision, JV etc. etc. In other words can I purchase shares up to that point and be confident they will all be affected by/included in the business decision of the company/companies?
