You guys are hilarious! :-). I would also look at it this way: How many times did you have to fork money for stuff you could not care less about?

Example; some "renovation" that has long been forgotten but still paying, pets, a few gs on a car you personnally hate (mini-van), dinners and gifts for the in-laws, uncles, neibors, other people's kids......She doesn't know, it won't hurt.

When all this is done, you'll be able to be extra generous with her.....for "no reason, just love" and, well, you can imagine the rest.
