She says they're just talking, but she can't tell you anymore than that, but she'll be there as soon as she can.

Meanwhile, you're at home imagining god knows what and highly agitated while left there to twist in the wind.

Don't get me wrong, I like your analogy, but I feel we're only getting a small part of the story and think that we're owed a bit more respect.
