I wonder how much these comments from Teck about being interested in copper now are because our deal is pending? Could they be priming the markets for their decision to take a big stake in another copper deal in BC?
They already know what's in the feasibility but appear to be gettting the market ready for their reaction when it is released. Surely someone will ask Teck what their intentions are when it is published. They've stated they are interested in copper, they have the funds and want to spend them on capital costs, they are ready to make their decision shortly. It almost seems to me they are following a game plan.
There is no logical reason to wait until the feasibility is announced to then turn it down, so they must want the attention it will bring.
