We are mixing up drilling programmes. There is the BFS drilling in the SC zones (on teck's 'dime') and there is the exploratory drilling in Discovery (Cuu's dime). All of the 2012 drilling was outside of the BFS scope.

In essence, we stopped drilling for Teck in 2011. DDH 2011-419 was the only drill that really was inside Liard zone and was drilled in 2011 and NR Feb 2012. 419 was in the guts of Liard. Other 2011 drills tested the edges of Liard and Liard/Paramount. The Liard zone really didn't expand much with this drilling so it more-or-less remained the same size and configuration as that of the 2008 mine plan and PFS.

The busted drills in 2012 were km's away (in Discovery) from where our 171M tonnes of 'waste' is located at Liard zone. It was reported that the drills in Discovery had such difficulties as they were drilling rock with different characteristics than that of the main SC zones and there is a learning curve involved with drilling new rock. Liard zone has lots of holes in it - and a few are deep. I don't think any of them (since 2010) failed due to ground conditions. Our 2011 Block model does not reach as far as the dud DDH 421.

Vette reported from CUU that the 10 holes should be quite shallow. That tells me the 171Mt is sitting on top of our P+P in Liard (or at least in the angled pit wall needed to access our P+P). I dont' quite understand this as there is a ton of historic drills in Liard (it was the original SC zone) that are quite shallow. If anything, I suspect the bulk of 171Mt is towards the southern edge of Liard where the drills thin out a bit.

Have a look at Schaft Creek in http://corebox.net/properties/schaft_creek/liardmain. It shows drilling up to end of 2011. DDH 419 sticks out - all by itself in blue in the sea of orange drills shown in the area of flatter terrain in the south (Liard). (You can click and hold that click and drag the revolving model around to see different angles on the 3D model of drills. You can also select the "Sections" Tab and see the drills in profile view by various sections)

As far as formally starting the clock, section 5.4 of the Teck Agreement specifies how that happens (my bold). None of it has anything to do with Sedar:

5.4 Upon Salazar completing a Positive Bankable Feasibility Study on the Property, Salazar shall forthwith provide Teck Cominco with written notice (the “Feasibility Notice”) which shall include a copy of said study and statement in reasonable detail (date of invoice, name of supplier, short description of charges and amount .of expenditures) showing Expenditures incurred in preparing said study. Unless the Option in respect of the Indirect Holding has terminated as contemplated in §63, Salazar shall not be entitled to make a production decision in respect of the Property or to produce from the Property unless Teck Cominco elects not to exercise its Backin Right or the Back-in Right explres.
