Re: Does anyone think they can reject an offer that is above the current share price without making the offer public?
In IMO, I think they can - the communications lines are open between Teck and CUU so there can be any number of offers going back and forth. As long as both sides agree and are in "friendly" discussions - which CUU wants as it has made it know that they want to be bought out. To my mind, there is no point for Teck/CUU to announce that offers/counter offers have been made because they know without insiders approval the deal isn't going through.
So we continue to wait.
