I am comvinced that informal negotiations have been going on for many months now, probably through Teck's technical people as intermediaries. Any time large financial negotiations happen, the parties will be far apart to start. Maybe we are getting closer now, but who knows how much progress has been made. Both parties probably do want to prolong this thing as long as possible, because after the clock starts ticking they can't prolong it. I cannot conceive of how they will reach an agreement if I am wrong and they haven't been in at least informal negotiations.
