Based on the past information from the last few months it makes sense that Ernesto would want Teck to walk away. The BFS was very conservative, made to be just barely passing the agreement criteria. The waste wasnt drilled because either CUU had enough for the BFS to be completed AND/OR Teck has enough data to assume what the waste could be valued OR because more drilling would result in another 6-12 month delay.
Ernesto may ideally want to control the entire project this year, then dump 20-30M in drilling for another RE and sell with a nice SUPER-premium from what he could get from Teck. Unless..........
Teck is willing to back-in and pay Ernesto what he wants NOW.
Again, this is based on speculation from CUU statements.
If I lived in TO, I'd be at this event ASAP. If any other members are attending tomorrow, how about poking them with questions regarding the "waste rock"? Facial expressions may suggest more than verbal answers... I've found this in the past. Otherwise, ask them if Ernesto would prefer the above speculated plan.
