I don't know why anyone would have a problem with your post since it is a correct observation. The few times I've helped the acquisition group it was always on a need to know confidential basis. Particularly when the target is a publicly traded junior company. Asking Teck staff at conferences about CUU is pointless. Either the staff doesn't know anything about pending acquisitions(most likely case) or can't discuss.
