That's what I thought at first as well. After a closer look, the area in purple is definitely part of the feasibility study. See the image below. That huge pit wall must be mined but has not been drilled very well. There are a few shallow drill holes (200m) but none that reached into the chargeability. Perhaps Chappy can provide some more info on the historical drill holes.

It appears there are 2 types of waste rock that can be upgraded: the 171M tonnes of inferred and the undrilled chargeability. Notice in the presentation, Elmer lists "Upgrade the 171M tonnes of inferred" and "Drill east of current Resource Block Model to test area treated as waste in the Feasibility Study" as separate items.
