The article says the ocelot sightings have been quite rare....but one was observed in the Globe area which I believe is close to Miami and our VD property.

I think however that the main reason this shouldn't worry us is the type of mine VD is proposed as - in situ. The Rosemont mine is open pit, hence big habitat perturbations.
