I don't think that Schaft Creek would affect their salmon, and that seems to be the most important matter. However, it might delay things? What if they set up a Joint Commission, then they all have to meet a million times and write a paper then there is a moratorium on environmental approvals while that is going on. Then when an EA submission is made, by Teck for SC, the whole process is given over to the International Joint Commission for their approvals. Concessions are asked for, oversight is asked for, years of salmon baseline studies are required on the US side.
