Message: Teck updates its copper section on website

https://www.teck.com/Generic.aspx?PAGE=Teck+Site%2fDiversified+Mining+Pages%2fCopper&portalName=tc

(EDIT: sorry wrong link previously)

=================================

Teck has updated its copper section. It reiterates their expectation of increased demand and prices particularly from China and India.

SC is now no longer even mentioned. The following is the only part that could be referring to us:

"In addition, we are actively exploring and assessing development opportunities for new copper deposits in Canada, Chile, Mexico, the United States, Namibia, Peru, Turkey and Australia."

Galore Creek gets its own section, but not anything new there. If it is true that Teck has devoted significantly more staff and resources to SC, why would they not mention it? I suppose it could be posturing or trying to pressure EE? I would think that Teck would want to book the reserves they own at SC - would this not significantly improve their copper inventory? They are actually reserves - not inferred. Lots of questions and unknowns there...

I hope we get 2015 JV plans sooner than later. Should clarify things for our near future anyways.

It also mentions that 3 tons of copper are used to manufacture one wind turbine - a lot more than I expected and green energy is still a priority in most regions.
