The day they introduce SC to the public will be the day they announce how they will mine it and my thinking is that CUU won't be in the picture. No way they will announce to the world how wonderful it is and then turn around and negotiate with CUU how much. This will be done first, quietly, under the radar. Such negotiations COULD be ongoing since the JV formation and optimization studies that are partially completed.

The public announcement will be a sell to Teck shareholders and (I'm guessing) simulataneous announcement of a new partner that will finance the district with Teck. CUU will have been bought out by this new partner and all of this will come in one announcement. Speculation of course but I simply can't see Teck announcing the results of the optimization studies ahead of time.
