I'm beginning to think that this rise in our stock price is just related to the price of copper, and the dawning realization that we're leaving our supposed surplus years.
Copper went up to $2.79, the highest in two months. China is typically starting to buy at this time of year and their PMI numbers come out tomorrow. If their State Grid starts buying copper then they buy large. The weaker American dollar supported the price of all commodities. There was short-covering of copper among Chinese traders. There has been a lot of talk about inventories drying up at the end of the year.
If Teck is buying a producing copper mine, that is actually bad news for us so it shouldn't be contributing to our stock flying.
Maybe small investors are returning to the markets now and looking for cashed-up juniors?
