The Chinese will be fine you say? 90 million people in China are invested in the stock market. Their major stock exchange has shed 24% of it's value in the past 3 weeks. Something along the lines of $2.4 trillion in wealth already wiped off the books of Chinese investors. If this continues and you have a legit "crash" then it will obviously affect the rest of the world, without doubt.
