I don't see this as positive, I hardly think Elmer is "pleased".

CFOs quitting is not nessasarily bad (there could be health or other reasons), but commonly leave when they are at odds with the financial direction and/or dont want to be associated with an audit.

The company I work for has had rumours of creative acounting during recent years and has had 3 well paid CFOs leave the organization.

If the NR stated a good reason for her leaving (ie: health, family etc) I personally would feel better. It seems the new guy is young and less experienced (only working in the public sector previously)

I am NOT saying anything wrong is actually going on at CF or the company I work for, only optics are less than ideal...
