It would be nice if they submitted the EA, or cancelled it and said they were going to make changes and make a new application. I saw another mine project do that and it took 6 months to resubmit.

That is a really good point.

This could be thier opportunity to decouple from the old system and take advantage of the newer process. If they could get the resubmission in before the Liberals make their changes that could be a pretty big carrot.

Is some kind of a production decision or development schedule part of the EA process or can they proceed with the EA and get approval - but still delay the project? You would expect it to be somewhat time sensitive or that the government would want some commitment from Teck before going through all the process?

The letter was dated several days ago, and the volume started spiking a few days ago as well. No doubt some investors found this before it was uncovered and grabbed quite a few cheap shares.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, things are going to get interesting...
