So why are we up .01 on 1.4 million shares traded going into the close with bids building on such a bad news day for us, that's not weird?

Not really weird seeing no "bad news" has been issued. I suggest the bulk of shareholders are blissfully unaware that something incredibly material HAS happened, and the company decided to not provide them the protection of a halt.

How can this event not be material for CF - they are the majority shareholder and something big has happened and its unknown what the resolution will be. The market can't be expected to recieve bad news from the various stock forums.

Isn't this the definition of why stocks are halted? Unexpected material information leaked/found? Unexpected high volume at the same time? Its textbook, isn't it?

I think its naive to assume 150+ million retail shares are held by members of this board, and even that the ones that are members - are daily readers..
