The reason I was told was simply they want to compare both peas and look at shopping them together ideally.  Not sure how much Colin is in the know or what he is directed to say, but perhaps Teck has expressed interest in VD...maybe Teck buys it and partners with capstone or other miners on the US to have more exposure to US deposits.  Other than Mesaba, so they own any US properties?
