My understanding is that the drilling cores will be used to better understand the ressource model.  Might be possible for them to move some indicated ressource into the measured category, which comes with a better grade (i think).  Higher grade = more copper for the same effort.

Also, the cores will also be used for metallurgical work.  If they can improve the recoveries 3-4-5%, that would add several more Mlbs pounds per year at minimal cost.
