My understanding is that

• they send the cores to the lab
• the lab does a bunch of tests and provide the results
• based on the results, they probably need to review/analyse the ressource model
• for the recoveries, I would think this is only a number that comes out of the lab with no further validations required, but EG would probably be in a better position to answer your question.
