Here's the same calculation for Gold.

Currently, at 92% availability, SC would operate at 133 000 tpd with 71% recovery for gold.

  • 133 000 tpd x 365 days x 0.15g/t x 71% = 167,000 oz of gold per year.

Here's the other extrem:

Teck operating at 95% availability, achieving 0.22g/t x 73% recoveries (like in the FS).

  • 137 337 tpd x 365 days x 0.22g/t x 73% = 259,000 oz of gold per year.

That's another potential of 42Mlbs of CuEq per year.

All these are assumptions, but it illustrates what Elmer means when he say's that a small change can make a big difference due to the size of this project.
