3 reasons.  
1.Ernesto and Elmer sit on their fat asses and wait for a bid, fair value for EE and ES, but too high for the bidders.  This is the most likely scenario.

2.Newmont will buy the SC25% but they are waiting for the results of the metallurgical analysis and will make an offer based on that.

3. Teck had the intention, following the results of the Met analysis, to purchase SC25%, but now leaves this to the prospective purchaser of (part of) Teck.
