That's not confidence that's survival due to holding a giant bag they had no choice to continue to support. If EE hadn't kept dumping money in he would have lost what he already had. He's a billionaire it's chump change. Anyone of them will tell you they had no plans on still being here this long or having to continue to support. They had to the market wasn't going to. Why only them and bag holder retail on pp's? No interest so they're forced to keep pouring in. 

I'm talking about open market buying. They could easily run up the price but hey why would you want to support your shareholders right. But they'd rather drive it into the ground run out of cash and buy pp's dilute us. Not everyone needs a full buyout, can or is willing to invest more into this nightmare of an investment.
