Message: Chinese stock market in turmoil

Just read an article in The Hill about the problems in China. Somewhat suspect source for impartial reporting but they were commenting on another nation not the U.S. Big problems in China with unemployment and social unrest. Declining population and young people have given up hope of finding jobs. Xi is ramping up the war rhetoric and the article speculated that the solution to the ruling party's problem is a war to boost their economy and get all those young unemployed people in the army. Biden's latest speech noted that China was in trouble and hinted that they might do "bad things".

All this means that no one should expect copper to go through the roof next year. In fact we will be lucky to avoid a pan pacific war; that might spill over into a world war. Pessimistic outlook but supported by a lot of people far more knowledgeable than me.
