Good Sunday morning YourNadir,
I just got through a 2 month process of transferring some funds from BMO RRSP to two Questrade accts for myself and my husband. My account was up and running first with the old Webtrader platform that didn't bother me at all. My husbands finally got going with the IQ program and I have to admit that I don't like it but was able to get my order in. Since it was a simple buy CUU order I haven't had a problem but I don't like it as much as the simpler Webtrader (which, by the way, they are making me switch to IQ soon, was able to postpone it). I was thinking that if I had several holdings that it would be an unattractive program to monitor my account with. I like the BMO Investorline program (though they've recently changed theirs as well) and have my TFSA trading accounts with them and an unregistered Investorline account. I don't like the $29 trade fee though and they don't take into account the cumulative $$ value of all of our accounts to give us the lower rate for trades; it's just each account separately. I can't do any trading within the RRSP account so the fee doesn't matter in that account, which is why I decided to give Questrade a try with a partial transfer. I've been reading all of the posts from other traders about how much grief the new IQ platforms are causing but I think they're thinking everyone will get used to it and absolutely love it...good luck with that.
Sorry for the overly wordy answer, just getting rid of the last bit of frustration from the lengthy transfer process...no, don't like the new IQ platform either and I don't think you're alone as far as the 'bugs' go.
