This has nothing to do with spoiled children (regardless of if that's an issue or not). Not in the case of the shootings at least. Diagnosis has gone up in terms of mental illness more than the actual prevalence and incidence but even the those have a lot of problems in terms of environmental issues (not in terms of whose raising them, but the actual environment).

I do agree that kids are a lot more spoiled, but fail to see how it's related to the issue. You don't suddenly become autistic, schizophrenic, psychopathic etc. because your parents spoiled you.

Unless you think he killed a bunch of people because he didn't get spanked as a child? I'm not sure that's the solution for preventing it in the future.
