Some good points JC. Another we should consider is that VZ has no motivation to work on this today. It is also a holiday here in Mexico and no one is doing anything. Hence I am sitting in my hotel.
The only urgency is the PPS of KRY, which has no value to VZ. They don't care. In fact in many ways it is beneficial. They know neither KRY nor GRZ are going to "pull out" so there is no need for urgency.
While I too believe that this smells funny, I also find it hard to believe that Sanz/Hugo were unaware. The thought of a rogue director denying the permits as a political statement, while a nice dream, is highly unlikely. Mor likely is this was staged from the top and what the final outcome will be we do not know.
GRZ's CEO made a strong statement to his shareholders, while KRY's CEO has remained silent. That shows the different values these companies place on shareholder interests. I will be looking for the Miami presentation today very closely, though it will likely be RM vs. GT.
In a funny way, I was actually encouraged by the GRZ permit rescinding. That shows me it is more of a political issue than just an issue with KRY. That kind of issue can be worked through a lot easier than just someone not wanting KRY in there.
I did drop some shares last night in AH and bought them back this morning. I need to chip away at the big red from yesterday and have far more shares than I intended due to my standing limit buys.
