IMO yes over-rated......But it is always nice to have a special bottle to bring out when a rare occasion warrants it. Nothing sets the tongues of your fellow blended scotch drinkers wagging than a bottle of blue. Many single malts run circles around blue for less damage to your wallet. All personal preference.

For me it is a nice bottle of Dom.

Hell.....2 Buck Chuck can get the KRY party started. Nobody will care what we're drinking at that point! :)
