CVG Minerven produce 8 tons of gold this year
Caracas, Mar. 18 ABN .- The president of the Corporación Venezolana de Guayana (CVG) Minerven, Luis Herrera, reported that the state goal of producing gold is eight tons of gold this year, which is a commitment to the president of the Republic, Hugo Chávez Frías.
In its 39 years of uninterrupted work, CVG Minerven takes the transition period of the mine Sosa Méndez, who happen again at the hands of the Venezuelan State, in order to meet the goal of gold production in 2009, gave a press release sent to this wording.
Herrera said so during a tour conducted by El Callao, Bolivar State, to find Minerven participation in the process of mining being conducted by the Ministry of People's Power for Basic Industries and Mining (Mibam) and the Foundation Mission Piar.
He stated that this company is operating and is contributing significantly to the exploitation of mining organized, so small-scale miners urged to seek advice.
"Today there are approximately 1,400 workers, including employees and cooperators. We are extending to the municipality Sifontes, specific sectors and Kilometer 88 El Dorado, to continue working with small producers in the region, "he said.
In addition, Herrera recommended that small-scale miners to engage in agricultural activity, taking advantage Mibam last year socioproductive approved 43 projects for an amount of about 60 thousand strong bolivar, which are being developed successfully in today.
"The goal is to build and consolidate the development of small producers in seeking improvements in their welfare and quality of life," he said.
In the social sphere, said CVG Minerven is penetrating the indigenous communities in the Sifontes municipality in Bolívar state, specifically in the San Antonio area.
"There is a concession for the extraction of mineral resources, important for the production process of the company, while supporting the community through a process of teaching and research to prevent contamination of the environment," noted Herrera .
Other activities undertaken by the state gold is the delivery of 44 parcels in the municipality Roscio, specifically granting the incredible 17, which will benefit small farmers in the locality bolivarense.
"The goal is to generate more employment. This is another commitment we have for this year. Another goal is to begin to build a gold refinery which will be located in El Callao, "the official concluded.
