Me thinks someone out there is being defensive. I was being sensitive to our Pam being a woman, not her personally, and thinking maybe she might take offense at women being used as the 'butt' of you sounding off. I don't think that most men would take to women on this board ( maybe with the exception of Pam) making MEN the butt of jokes. It's kinda like guys sitting around at the bar, making crude or denegrating jokes about women. I think some just don't get it. It just shows a general lack of respect for women.

If you really think it was a harmless joke....think about whether or not you'd say that in the presence of your mom, or your prof., the woman at the convenience store, or the guy at the biker club, referring to his girl friend. If it isn't acceptable in those situations, then it isn't acceptable at all. It's just that you could get away with it in this or other situations.

No, I'm not a do gooder knight in shinning armour. I'm just a guy who looks down on people who seem to think jokes that denegrade a certain people are funny.

I doubt a comedy club would accept that kind of 'joke'. A public forum is also not the place either.
