Ok, I guess I'll way in here.

I think, dparge, that you keep looking at the situation as if you are a new commer, and seeing the situation with knowlege only of the hell that KRY has gone through.

"If KRY is negotiating a sale of the operating contract, who in the world is going to pay fair value knowing KRY is in this cash strapped position? Especially since it appears KRY can't obtain the permit on its own. There would be very few companies willing to buy this from us right now given the political uncertainty in VZ. And the fewer companies you have negotiating, the lower the buyout will be. That is simple supply and demand economics."

I agree that there is no way any Western company would go near this deal, under the present, and past, situation. However, China is not western, and China is very much involved with VZ and Chavez, who are very beholden to China. Chavez is not going to grab and bite the tale of the 'Dragon', especially since this 'dragon' is being a 'nice' dragon.

So, what I'm saying, is that the Chinese have no fear of Chavez or VZ reneging on any deal they may work out. Remember that the Chinese have made deals with VZ, to ship 100's of thousands of barrels a day to China, in exchange for Cash. Obviously, they have no problem putting their trust in VZ for their future oil shipments, no matter whose in power.

I think sometimes people forget that this small Canadian company has had many years to work out a plan, if they are up against the preverbial wall. In fact, they have been up against that wall many several times. KRY in fact is in quiute a strong situation, considering.

They have the legal right to mine the largest proven gold deposit ready to go, in the Americas.

They have the MOC, obviously legally strong enough to keep Chavez at bay.

They have all the data, and intimate knowledge of LC, ready at any time.

They have specially made equipment ready to ship, and hand over to the accepted suitor.

Making a deal with Crystallex is the only way LC can be up and going in under two years.

The ONLY hurdle is to find an operator acceptable to Chavez.

Fung is Chinese, extremely well respected by them, and by the 16th richest man in the world, (and his family).

China is agressively making deals for raw materials to take them forward for decades to come.

You can bet China is interested in LC (KRY), they have the money, they have Chavez's trust, and Fung is now involved in mining in China.

Add to the above, the fact that the very highly respected Fung has had reason NOT to file for arbitration, with full knowledge of their cash position, and EVERYTHING else, .....well this tells me, anyway, that we are in no way near defeat.
