the thing i found really strange about the comments are how "polarized" they are....venezuela really seems to be a case of the "hatfields and mccoys"

there seem to be only "two camps" as to why there is so much violence in venezuela..

camp one says "hugo is soft on crime", probably because the prisons are currently at 170% capacity.....

camp two says it's because of "the right wing media pushing hate", i.e. globovision, rctv, etc.....

the one thing i did'nt really see in these comments is a mention that the violence might be tied to the economy? many of the murders in venezuela that i've read about have been related to carjackings and robberies....
