Apples and Oranges CJR. The two things you speak of are not related at all. If Barrick would have had that kind of influence, they would be mining it already. The answer sometimes is simple, HC is a dick. Plain and simple. Nothing is that country is working and you expect Fung to pull everything out of his ass. Well if that were true then why are the multinationals already there having nationalization issues. This regime it doomed to failure and it is just a matter of KRY being able to hold on. This has happend many times in many other countries. There is now a shift happening in South America and VZ will be there too. My only question is can we stay a separate entity till then or does fung have to take some lumps and have some vulture take it for less than it's worth.
