China Investment Corp. is a major shareholder of mining company Teck Resources Ltd., and has holdings in gold producer Kinross Gold Corp.

I keep forgetting that China does not have to be directly involved in any deal, as they could work through an existing Canadian company that they are a major shareholder in....they could fund a 'buy, or a partnership with KRY, through Kinross.

I must say tho', I get somwhat disturbed at the thought of how much control China has and will have, in Canada's economy...especially our resources.
