Chávez Emphasizes Strength of cooperation with China

October 10, 2010, 16:01 Caracas, Oct 10 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, highlighted the strength of cooperation with China, covering key areas such as mining, energy, industrial and financial sector.
The officer reported the arrival on Sunday of another committee of experts from the Asian country to strengthen ties of cooperation.
During his television program Alo Presidente, explained that one purpose of the visit is to design projects for the exploitation of deposits of gold and aluminum, mainly.
He said that among the priorities of the joint work stands the diagnosis of gold reserves and the study of the potential of other minerals such as coltan.
Venezuela has become one of the African countries where China invests more resources, said the president, who highlighted the expansion of bilateral energy agreements.

Chavez rejected recent pronouncements of the opposition Committee of the Unity, against Chinese rule.
