Inhabitants raise the voice of protest by the lack of true attention

The inhabitants of the Ikabarú parish, in the municipality Great Savannah, feel left. For 5 years this town located to three hours of Santa Elena de Uairén has undergone the attacks of policies badly executed and unfulfilled promises.

One of its residents, Brown Jacobo, was sorry that the authorities have snatched them their unique one half of subsistence: the mining.

“We are not a mining camping, we are a constituted mining town for more than eighty years, we are speaking of a whole parish that has school, water grammar school, medicatura, systems, now with public electrical service, drainages, among other things, for that reason cannot come overnight to clear the unique source to us of use”.

“First they spoke to them of a mining reconversion, where supposedly we were going to have an assured economic development, to convince people they offered a factory of sport equipment to generate use, that has not seen nor the first ball them, because nothing became, want to clear the mining and until the moment of today, the national Government does not offer safe alternatives to change to us of activity”.

According to Colored person, now with the Caura Plan, the military ones attack against the unique office that can exert and of which depend more than thousand families, to that of arbitrary way have destroyed them their implementos of work.

To the miner this behavior seems to him illogical since Ikabarú is constituted by several cooperatives that have the permisología for the operation of the median and small mining.

The Interior of the state Bolivar offered two years ago an aqueduct, the remodeling of a school, the grammar school and an ambulatory one, but until the moments nothing has received, now the town faces a fuel shortage as soon as the provision for Ikabarú was suspended until new warning, while the Army and the National Guard supervise the zone.

“The town of Ikabarú Already does not support plus as much injustice and abuses on the part of the military and the lack of promises failed to fulfill by the governments, is condemning the forgetfulness to us, without the Ikabarú mining will stop existing”, sentenced.
