Dave Patterson - Chairman - Director
Mr. Patterson has spent over 2 decades involved with exploration companies. He has his MBA from Vancouver's Simon Fraser University. Mr. Patterson is experienced and uses his extensive European and North American networks to the Company's advantage during fundraising initiatives. Mr. Patterson has raised in excess of CDN$100 million for mineral exploration companies, including Donner Metals Ltd.
Harvey Keats - CEO - Director
Mr. Keats, former Vice President of Exploration of Diamond Fields Resources Inc., brings a long and distinguished exploration career with him to the position at Donner. Mr. Keats was directly responsible for the exploration program at Diamond Fields' Voisey's Bay nickel-copper-cobalt property in Labrador where reserves were increased dramatically with the discovery of the "Eastern Deeps" zone. Prior to joining Diamond Fields, Mr. Keats spent 25 years with Falconbridge Limited where he held many senior executive positions including Exploration Manager for Falconbridge Chile S.A., General Manager Exploration for Falconbridge International Limited and Director, Nickel Laterite Exploration.
Robin Adair - Vice-President of Exploration
Mr. Adair was appointed Vice President of Exploration in 2006. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Adair was employed with Falconbridge Limited / Noranda Inc. for over 25 years, in exploration and advanced projects, including extensive experience in VMS projects up to the level of Exploration Manager. The Company believes that Mr. Adair's experience is very well suited to the Company's Matagami project and future advancement of corporate objectives.
Kerry Sparkes - Director
Mr. Sparkes received both his M.Sc. and B.Sc. (Honors) from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and is a member of the Geological Association of Canada and the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Newfoundland & Labrador. He worked for Noranda Exploration Company Ltd. from graduation in 1989 to late 1994 in positions of increasing responsibility. In the positions of Senior Project Geologist and Exploration Manager at Archean Resources he was instrumental in the discovery and delineation of the Voisey's Bay deposits starting with drilling the first hole in the Ovoid in late 1994. Since the beginning of 1997 he was the Senior Geologist at Voisey�s Bay Nickel Co. Ltd. in charge of advanced exploration at Voisey's Bay. Mr. Sparkes brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience at Voisey's Bay that can be used to guide exploration at South Voisey's Bay.
Ken Thorsen - Director
Mr. Thorsen has over 35 years experience in the exploration business having most recently held the position of General Manager of Advanced Projects for Teck-Cominco. Mr. Thorsen retired after 21 years with Teck, rising from regional Exploration Manager where he had an instrumental role in the discovery of the Estrades massive sulphide project in NW Quebec. Since 1994, Mr. Thorsen has held several positions at Teck's head office in the exploration department including two and a half years as President of Teck Exploration Ltd, where he was responsible for carrying out Teck's exploration projects worldwide. Prior to Teck, Mr. Thorsen spent two years with SMDC (now Cameco) and previous to that over eight years with Selection Trust where he was responsible for the discovery of the Leinster nickel mine in Australia.
Mr. Thorsen is a Professional Engineer and has a degree in Geological Engineering. He has vast experience in exploration for many commodities, including gold, silver, copper, zinc, nickel, platinum, palladium, diamonds and uranium and has been involved in exploration programs in Mexico, Canada, USA, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Australia, China, Africa, Panama and Central Asia.
Laurie Sadler - Director
Mr. Sadler is a retired Chartered Accountant with extensive experience as a business advisor to public and private companies. Mr. Sadler was a founder and managing partner of the firm Sadler, Weismiller, Spencer, Chartered Accountants (1984-2001) and has a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.
Normand Champigny
President
Mr. Champigny is a geological engineer and has been involved in many facets of the mining industry, including engineering, project evaluation, and project management. He has extensive experience with both public and private companies both domestically and internationally. Mr. Champigny is a graduate from Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal (B.A.Sc), University of British Columbia (M.A.Sc) and Paris School of Mines (Specialized diploma in Geostatistics). He is a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec; of Professional Engineers Ontario; and of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
