If they decide to invest in ELVA using those funds it will be a serious commitment for a long term collaboration. 

I will be more confident in the ELVA's future development. It is like a guarantee that they have something special and Toyota values and guarantees that through their investment. I am sure they do a better due diligence than many private investors.
