Mining & production of uranium & vanadium in Utah, Arizona, Wyoming & Colorado
Company Profile
Energy Fuels is America’s leading conventional uranium producer and a significant producer of vanadium. The company’s operations, employees, and properties are located primarily in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and Wyoming, and our operations are managed out of our Lakewood, Colorado office (near Denver). Energy Fuels is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the trading symbol “EFR”.
Energy Fuels owns and controls the only operating conventional uranium processing facility in the United States, the White Mesa Mill located near Blanding, Utah. White Mesa has an operating capacity of 2,000 tons per day and the potential to process up to 8 million lbs. of uranium per year. White Mesa also has a circuit designed to process vanadium that comes from some of the Company’s Colorado Plateau mines.
Energy Fuels operates several producing uranium and uranium/vanadium mines on the Colorado Plateau and Arizona Strip that supply ore to the White Mesa Mill. In addition, the company owns numerous other projects on standby or in various stages of development and permitting. As market conditions warrant, these mines and projects will be available to feed White Mesa for many years to come.
Energy Fuels is one of the largest holders of uranium and vanadium resources in the United States. We own or control approximately 17.0 million tons of measured and indicated NI 43-101 resources that contain 51.6 million lbs. of U3O8 at grades that range from 0.12% to 0.33%, and 29.1 million lbs. of V2O5 at grades that range from 0.30% to 1.39%. In addition, we own or control approximately 3.2 million tons of inferred NI 43-101 resources that contain 18.8 million lbs. U3O8 at grades that range from 0.16% to 0.98%, and 12.2 million lbs. of V2O5 at grades that range from 0.28% to 1.89%.
In addition, Energy Fuels holds a 16.5% interest in Virginia Energy Resources Corp. (TSX-V:VUI), owner of the Coles Hill Project, the largest known uranium deposit in the United States.
Safety, health and environmental responsibility are also of paramount importance to the Company. Energy Fuels is committed to the operation of its facilities in a manner that puts the safety of its workers, its contractors, its community, the environment and the principles of sustainable development above all else. Whenever issues of safety conflict with other corporate objectives, safety shall be the first consideration.
Through these actions, we believe we are positioned to respond to market conditions and achieve sustainable and responsible long-term uranium production as the World’s demand for clean, affordable nuclear energy continues to grow.
