Century Mining Appoints VP Geology

BLAINE, WASHINGTON--(Marketwire - June 2, 2010) - Century Mining Corporation ("Century" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:CMM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Harold ("Andrew") Daniels, P. Geo., as the Company's new VP Geology.

"Century is about to take another step forward with the appointment of a new VP Geology, as the Company controls significant property positions in Canada, Peru and the United States that have been under explored, and provide additional excellent exploration upside potential," commented Margaret M. Kent, President & CEO of Century Mining. "I would like to wish Ross Burns, my business partner of more than 25 years, a well deserved retirement from leading Century Mining's exploration arm. Together, Ross and I have worked on various projects over the years and have been very successful in identifying undervalued mining assets. I would like to welcome Mr. Daniels to the team as our new VP Geology, who will be tasked with defining the true potential of our Lamaque complex, highlighting our exploration opportunities in Peru, and reviewing other projects and acquisitions globally as we expand our operations."

Mr. Daniels brings close to 25 years of global exploration and mining experience to Century, most recently as a geological consultant to various mining companies. He also brings extensive senior management and consulting experience in precious and base metals exploration, mine modeling, economic resource estimation, project evaluation on numerous projects from Canada, Russia, Australia, Central and South America, and the Middle East. Mr. Daniels will provide an exploration roundup for Century's global projects and give guidance to the Company's global exploration goals in the next 90 days.
