Well, I disagree with your analysis on the use of the word disinterested but see no real point in debating the issue. One may disagree with the use of the word 'disinterested' on technical terms, but nevertheless it is the one used in the financial industry in situations like these. One cannot honestly fault CMM for using what appears to be fairly standard industry lingo, in the standard way.
I cannot help but reiterate, though, that 'disinterested' in the current context (and traditional usage) is NOT the same as 'uninterested'.
