I think the shareprice reflects Maxim Finskiy's & his associates' current credibility with investors (i.e. Bay Street). Gold in the ground will only help if there is credible and competent mangement in place to dig it out & sell it. What is the current image of Max: dishonest & manipulative management, brown-nosing directors, suppression of minority shareholders. So even rosy press releases will not do much, if anything. On the other hand, if he made an announcement that Mr Rob McEwen has agreed to join the Board, the shareprice would take off, and never look back.
