Google translated it as "but other techniques". Thats why we need John to translate it. He does a much better job than a computer does.

I think it was the MOL spokesperson that said that. Not that it means much. If the wells were exploration/delineation wells, and they had gas shows, then they would have achieved there objectives. It doesnt mean that the gas actually flowed in any significant amounts.
From the XOM/FO Operating Agreement definitions:
Exploration Well means any well the purpose of which at the time of the commencement of drilling is to explore for an accumulation of Hydrocarbons, which accumulation was at that time unproven by drilling.
