John Kaiser, writing in an Oct. 26, 2007, Express, says buy Fancamp Exploration Ltd. ($1.85), officially, "Good Absolute Spec Value Buy." This is Mr. Kaiser's first buy of the Noront Resources Ltd. neighbour in the McFaud's Lake region of James Bay. The baron of bottom fishing likes the odds of an area play following Noront's Sept. 10, 2007, nickel-copper-PGM Double Eagle discovery, while at the same time keeping a healthy skepticism. He says there is not enough information to justify Noront's $6.73 price, but likes the look of several area players under $2, including Fancamp. His use of the term "Absolute" in his buy (rather than "Relative") is because Fancamp may not only have part of Noront's nickel-copper-PGM magmatic sulphide system, but it may have the bigger part. Mr. Kaiser reproduces publicly available maps to outline the notion that Fancamp may be sitting on exceptional ground. At this point, the theories originate with company people, such as Fancamp's Peter Smith. Fancamp rocketed to a high of $2.91 on Sept. 17, 2007, when Noront was still halted. Its implied project value at $1.85 is only $51-million, "which is very cheap compared to the $825-million IPV of Noront's discovery next door," he says.
