Resource projects cover more than 1,713 km2 in three provinces at various stages, including the following: hematite magnetite iron formations, titaniferous magnetite & hematite, nickel/copper/PGM, chromite, Volcanogenic Massive and gold.
Thanks for your input, SN.
Would you, Hoov, or those in the know comment on Four subjects:
1) Is Cliffs considered a major to Vale? Should Cliffs attempt to consolidate the neighboring companies, would Xstrata or Vale continue to sit and wait? If Noront and/or Fancmap find more nickel, would they allow CLiffs to usurp it?
2) There is a back door way another major could enter ROF that might make Cliffs or a large Major in waiting uncomfortable, that is specific to Fancamp. We've often touted the sale of Magpie as a means to make a dividend and keep shares. However, should a Major bite the worm, it might be cheaper for them to simply hostile takeover Fancamp. If successful, they would then have a foothold in ROF. Form here they could swiss cheese FNC and probably have an interest in Noront and UC for the nickel and land.
3) Which CEO's in ROF are considered members of the majors Club? Which of them hang casually with the Majors? Do they bother to infiltrate information, where and how, or are they content with News Releases? How often do they send representatives to ROF company offices or drill sites? Does Cliffs eventual infrastructure make ROF seem more interesting or more difficult. How much nickel do Noront or someone need to find before they decide to enter the fray.
4) I'm mighty curious if those majors waiting and watching for nickel, were surprised that chromite became the central play (for now) or did they see Cliffs strategy coming because of Cliffs tiptoe entry through KWG?
Your thoughts?
