Message: Argex Mining: The Only Serious Titanium Play in North America?

Ok I'll admit that I posted that article in hopes that it might stimulate some discussion regarding the utility of Fancamp planning on spinning off the Magpie property with an IPO, versus some sort of merger/arrangement with Argex prior to such move. I am not too lazy to due some DD , just otherwise overextended at this present time.

The obvious question in my mind (and which likely has arisen in other board posters minds) is what sort of relationship does FNC have with Argex due to their seemingly potentially competitive relationship? Does the Magpie property have similar enough Titanium-Iron-Vanadium composition and host rock type that it would benefit from Argex's proprietary process for separating and processing the ore. Would Argex be willing to sell that technology to a potential competitor (Magpie)and if so at what cost? (Argex is way ahead of Fancamp and could make significant market-share inroads).

Would Magpie need to utilize Argex's technology to be competiive? Magpie production might be more cost-efficient if for example its deposits have a significantly lower overall strip ratio, thus cost savings might enable it to utilize an older less efficient ore processing technique . Fact is, these aspects won't be known until Magpie has completed metallurgical studies and at least a scoping/pre-feasibility study, non?

So the obvios question that I have is why not merge Argex with our Magpie project and then spin it off, or spin it off and then merge. Does anyone believe that this is the likely plan? The combined entity would have a huge resource, proprietary technology , and not have to worry about being competitors. Alternatively, they become potential competitors, and Magpie pays a "royalty" for utilizing Argex's technology, perhaps by paying utilizing their pre-existing shares of Argex (if the Argex shares were spun off along with Magpie)?

Any comments are greatly appreciated, and I apologize in advance if this has already ben covered in other posts.

Cheers, Luker
