Like StockGreed said, he probably wanted to have it out before the AGM. Either way, who cares! The timing of a news release might have a small effect in the short run but in the long run it could not matter less if it's on a Tuesday morning or a Friday afternoon. If a company puts out good news on a Friday post-market, do you really think people will just forget about it by Monday?
